“I’m still trying to figure out how this hotel has a 4.4 rating from guests. The room was just mediocre - the linen and bathroom towels, etc had spots and stains - the bed linen also had stains and felt icky. I’ve never been so ready to be back in my own bed at a hotel. And to think I paid more to be in this hotel.
The one plus is location. We stayed over Thanksgiving - Black Friday shopping was a breeze. In Union square and not too far from soho. The customer service was OK. Front desk was awesome.
Everything was pretty much closed (bar (library) and rooftop) but the restaurant was open - great drinks there and OK food.”

“Horrible experience on one of our only nights in NYC. We booked through hotel tonight which is the first mistake however we were told it was a room with a view.
We show up and are told it is a “courtyard view”. When I went to the room I saw that it was simply a view of the air conditioners on top of the building.
At this point I went back down and asked if there was any other rooms which I was told there weren’t so I asked for a refund to go somewhere else and was denied. Not even a discount for the type of room. For 575$ a night that’s what I got. Ridiculous. The night time staff was not accommodating and though the manager was polite I was told there was nothing she could do.
If you have any other options stay elsewhere. Especially for the price, there were many other places that were nicer and more affordable but we chose this hotel due to it supposedly being 4.5 stars. It most definitely does not live up to that standard. Stay anywhere else if you can.
